Hi, I’m Daphne!

I’m a Fort Worth photographer serving families, couples, maternity clients, and small businesses throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. But before I became a photographer, I was simply someone who loved creating, capturing memories, and finding beauty in the little moments.

Photography has always been more than just a camera and a picture to me. It’s about preserving seasons of life that go by way too quickly and giving people images they can look back on for years to come.

How My Photography Journey Began. For those who have known me for a long time, you know I have always loved art. From elementary school through middle school, high school, and even college at Tarrant Community College, creativity was always a big part of my life. I loved expressing myself through different forms of art, but I never expected one college assignment to completely change my future. During one of my college art classes, I had a project that required me to borrow my dad’s Nikon camera. I had no idea that one assignment would spark a passion that would become such an important part of my life.

From that moment on, photography became something I wanted to learn everything about. I enrolled in a beginner’s continuing education photography course where I earned my certification, and after that, I continued growing my skills through another photography class at a local studio.

I was hooked.

The Experiences That Helped Shape Me

Not long after beginning my photography journey, one of my former bosses who wrote concert reviews for a magazine on the side, gave me an incredible opportunity to step into the world of concert photography.

In 2012, I received upfront photography passes to capture incredible events and artists, including Dierks Bentley, Gotye at WinStar in Oklahoma, Train at Verizon Theatre, Bronze Radio Return, and the grand opening of Mist nightclub at WinStar. Those experiences challenged me in the best ways. Photographing concerts taught me how to think quickly, work in changing environments, capture emotion in the moment, and tell a story through images.

After that, I worked at JCPenney Portraits, where I gained even more hands on experience photographing families and children. Little by little, what started as a passion became the foundation of the photography business I have today.

A Little More About Me

Outside of photography, I’m a wife, a mom of three, and a small business owner. My family is my greatest blessing. I understand firsthand how quickly these seasons pass, which is one of the reasons photography means so much to me. As a mom, I know how important it is to freeze the little moments, the ones you think you’ll always remember but somehow pass by so quickly.

I’m also a proud wife to an Army veteran, and our life is a beautiful mix of all the seasons happening at once. From baby snuggles and toddler moments with our youngest, to cheering from the sidelines at football games and watching our oldest kids grow into who they are becoming, this season of life keeps us busy in the best way. I know what it feels like to want to hold onto these moments because I’m living them too.

If you know me personally, you probably also know a few important things:

☕ I love my iced coffee

🥤 Dr Pepper is basically my personality trait

🐶 I love my dogs

🌅 I’m a sucker for beautiful sunsets

🤎 I love creating meaningful memories for people

And yes, behind the camera you’ll usually find me with caffeine in hand, chasing my kids around, editing galleries, and loving every minute of this journey.

Why Photography Means So Much to Me

Photography is so much more than a job to me, it is my passion. I have always loved working with children, and being able to combine that with my love for photography has truly been a blessing. There is something so special about capturing a child’s personality, a parent’s love, or a family’s connection in a way they can look back on forever.

My goal during every session is to make you feel comfortable, have fun, and create images that feel like your family, not just perfectly posed photos. My goal is to capture your family as you truly are and create images that bring you back to this season of life. The best photos aren’t always the ones where everyone is looking at the camera. They’re the moments that show your family’s real connection and who you are together.

Thank You for Being Part of My Journey

Looking back, it’s amazing to think that a college photography assignment with my dad’s Nikon camera would lead me here. I am so grateful for every family, couple, mama, and business owner who has trusted me to capture their stories. Every session and every connection has helped shape Daphne Lidiette Photography into what it is today. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your memories. It is something I will never take for granted.

If you’re looking for a Fort Worth photographer serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I would love the opportunity to capture your story.
